Statesboro, GA – Two Children Killed in Fatal House Fire on Morgan Dr
Statesboro, GA (November 8, 2021) – At 11:49 p.m. on the night of Saturday, November 6, two children were killed in a fatal house fire in Statesboro.
According to Statesboro Fire, the fire broke out on Morgan Drive at the Barn Mobile Home Estates. When fire crews received the call, they found that the flames were intense and completely engulfed the home. They also found that two children were inside a back bedroom and worked to rescue them.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The two children were pulled to safety and fire crews attempted to revive them. However, they were both pronounced dead at the scene. The parties were identified as a 2-year-old and a 3-year-old.
The area was blocked for some time as fire crews worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
