Statesboro, GA – Man Killed, Three Hurt in Hwy 67 Wrong-Way Crash in Bulloch Co
Statesboro, GA (October 27, 2021) – Around midnight on Saturday night, October 23, a fatal head-on collision caused by a wrong-way driver occurred in Statesboro.
According to Georgia State Patrol officials, one man was killed after a car traveling the wrong way down Highway 67 near Statesboro on Saturday night crashed head-on into another car full of teenagers.
GSP added that the crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. near mile marker 12.
GSP said two men were in the vehicle that caused the accident. Their car also caught fire after the crash, and the passenger in the car, a 22-year-old man, was pronounced dead by EMS.
Three of the teenagers in the other vehicle were transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to GSP. They are expected to recover, however.
A fourth teen in the car did not suffer injuries.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
