Snellville, GA – Pedestrian Accident on Stone Mtn Hwy Leads to Injuries
Snellville, GA (November 14, 2021) – At 6:36 a.m. on the morning of Sunday, November 14, a pedestrian accident occurred on a major roadway in Snellville.
According to Gwinnett County Police, the accident happened on Stone Mountain Highway around the area of Parker Court and East Park Place. A pedestrian was walking in the area when they started to cross the roadway. The pedestrian was suddenly struck by a motor vehicle traveling in the area.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene. The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was rushed to the hospital with a variety of injuries. The driver remained at the scene but it is not believed that they received injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
