Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia
Pedestrians are some of the most at risk parties on our roads when it comes to accidents. This is due to the fact that they have no protection from harm in the event of an accident. Many pedestrians are injured and even killed every year in accidents throughout Georgia. In just one recent year’s time, approximately 260 pedestrians were killed in accidents in Georgia. Unfortunately, these accidents continue to occur because automobile drivers fail to maintain a close lookout on our roads for pedestrians, who are most at risk in accidents. If you have lost a loved one in a pedestrian accident, you have options moving forward.
The aftermath of a pedestrian accident can be a debilitating thing to face, especially if you have lost a loved one in an accident. Families should never have to worry about how they will afford to pay the bills that pile up against them after they have sustained the loss of a loved one. As you are grieving, you should never have to worry about financial aspects. Family members have a right to bring what is known as a wrongful death claim on a loved one’s behalf. This can help a family recover during these emotional times. It is crucial that family members speak with a Griffin wrongful death attorney as soon as possible.
