Gainesville, GA – Five Hospitalized in Three-Car Wreck at Memorial Park Dr
Gainesville, GA (October 11, 2021) – On Sunday, October 10, a car accident with injuries occurred on a roadway in Gainesville, and police say their investigation into the events causing the wreck is still ongoing.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident happened on Browns Bridge Road near Memorial Park Drive. A driver was reportedly attempting to make a left turn but failed to yield to traffic. As a result, the 21-year-old female driver hit a GMC Yukon. The impact forced the GMC into a utility pole, and debris from the collision struck a third vehicle.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders transported five victims in the GMC to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Their conditions are not known at this time, however.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene. No further details have been released, though the investigation remains ongoing.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
