Forsyth, GA – Seven-Vehicle Collision Involving Truck on I-75 Leads to Injuries

Forsyth, GA (December 29, 2021) – On Wednesday afternoon, December 29, a seven-vehicle collision involving a tractor-trailer occurred in Forsyth.

Monroe County deputies were immediately dispatched to the scene where they discovered that several vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision in the southbound lanes of I-75 near mile marker 184. Upon further inspection, they discovered that a total of 6 passenger vehicles and 1 tractor-trailer were involved in the chain-reaction crash. All of the vehicles sustained numerous damages due to the accident.

Paramedics and other responders quickly identified injured victims in the accident. Several parties were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. Their conditions are minor in nature and the parties are expected to recover.

Due to the severity of the accident, several southbound lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time.

No further details have been released. Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
