Dalton, GA – Motorcycle Crash with Serious Injuries on S Dalton Bypass
Dalton, GA (January 7, 2022) – In the afternoon hours of Friday, January 7, a motorcycle crash with injuries occurred in Dalton.
According to Whitfield County officials, the accident happened on the South Dalton Bypass. Officials confirmed that a motorcyclist was traveling in the southbound lanes of traffic when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle that was also traveling in the area. The vehicles involved in the accident were extensively damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other local responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, sustained severe injuries as a result of the collision. The injured victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, a large portion of the roadway was blocked for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
