Pedestrian Accidents in Georgia
Pedestrian accidents are known for being some of the most severe accidents in Georgia. This is due to the fact that pedestrians have little to no protection from harm in the event of an accident. Statistics show that, in 2018, approximately 260 pedestrians were killed and hundreds more were hospitalized in Georgia pedestrian accidents. Drivers are expected to pay close attention to the roads around them so that pedestrian accidents can be prevented. However, these accidents continue to increase on our roads every year throughout the state. If you have been hurt in a pedestrian accident caused by another party, you should be prepared to speak with an attorney that you can trust.
Being hurt in a pedestrian accident can affect your life in a variety of ways. You may be facing severe injuries caused by your accident, including the following:
- Spinal cord injuries
- TBIs
- Broken bones
- Internal organ damage
- Paralysis
The truth is, pedestrian accident claims can be difficult to navigate on your own. A driver may try to pawn liability onto a pedestrian, claiming that they had nothing to do with the accident. If you know that another party is to blame for your pedestrian accident, you have a variety of options. It is crucial that you speak with a dedicated Dallas personal injury attorney at this time.
