Clarkston, GA – Car Crash with Injuries at I-285 Near E Ponce de Leon Ave
Clarkston, GA (November 27, 2021) – At 8:39 p.m. on the night of Friday, November 26, a car crash with injuries occurred on a highway in Clarkston.
According to DeKalb County Police, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of I-285 around the area of East Ponce de Leon Avenue. Police confirmed that multiple vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged as a result.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was blocked in multiple lanes. Police urged those in the area to use Memorial Drive as an alternate route for some time.
