Austell, GA – Rollover Accident on GA-402 Leads to Injuries
Austell, GA (November 28, 2021) – At 1:55 p.m. on the afternoon of Sunday, November 28, a rollover accident occurred on a highway in Austell.
According to Cobb County officials, the accident happened in the eastbound lanes of GA-402 around the area of the local Six Flags theme park. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other forcefully. One of the vehicles overturned as a result of the accident. This left debris scattered all over the roadway.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims sustained injuries as a result of the accident. The victims were taken to local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
Two left lanes of traffic were blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
