Acworth, GA – Multi-Vehicle Collision on I-75 Near Cowan Rd

Acworth, GA (November 14, 2021) – At 5:55 p.m. on the evening of Sunday, November 14, a multi-vehicle collision occurred on a highway in Acworth.

According to officials, the accident happened on I-75 before the Cowan Road area. Several vehicles were traveling in the area when they collided with each other due to reasons that are not yet known. The vehicles involved in the accident were badly damaged and had to be towed from the scene.

Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.

Due to the severity of the accident, the northbound and southbound lanes were backed up for an extended period of time. This led to delays in the area until police cleared the scene.
